Scheme Overview

  • The Niger Delta Development Commission, or NDDC, is once again launching its Foreign Post Graduate Scholarship Program to further support the development of human resources in the Niger Delta region. This program aims to provide our young people with the necessary training and skills for effective participation in the Federal Government's local content program, as well as to enable them to specialize in their areas of study and compete internationally in a variety of professional disciplines.
The Scheme is for
The program is open to candidates who meet the requirements and have earned applicable Bachelor's degrees from accredited universities in one of the following fields:

  • Engineering in Biomedicine
  • software, space aviation, and aeronautical engineering
  • Chemical, petrochemical, and marine engineering
  • Engineering, Civil, Mechanical, and Metallurgical
  • Engineering in Electrical and Electronic
  • Engineering Robotics
  • Technology Information
  • Machine intelligence
  • Science and math
  • medical sciences, including surgery and medicine
  • Architecture Law Management Hospitality
Criteria & Qualification Requirements

  • The Niger Delta must be the student's home region.
  • Five Credits must be attained in no more than two sittings.
  • To qualify for the scholarship, students must earn a First Class Degree or a Second Class Upper Division.

  • The amount of the international scholarship will depend on the current Naira exchange rate.
