Can Iwobi carry the Eagles' form from Everton? - Feed9ja

Since he has been in outstanding form for the Toffees, all eyes will be on Alex Iwobi, an Everton midfielder, when the Super Eagles take on the Foxes at the Oran Olympic Stadium on September 27.

The Toffees' 2022–23 English Premier League season has gotten off to a sluggish start, but the Nigerian midfielder has put on impressive displays for the team.

In a Sunday Premier League match, the Merseyside club defeated West Ham United 1-0 thanks to the 26-year-yet old's another outstanding performance.

Frank Lampard gave Iwobi his seventh consecutive start, and after a string of missed opportunities, it was his ball that allowed Neal Maupay to beat Lukasz Fabianski and give his team their first victory of the year.

Iwobi said to SkySports after the game, as he accepted the Player of the Match award, "We have been playing really well."

"The performances were good; the only thing left was to attain the desired outcome. Gaining a victory before the international break is positive.

"I didn't have a good beginning. I'm always trying to disprove others' assumptions. My management lets me speak my mind.

As the player noted, entering the break with a victory was unquestionably necessary. Now, Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro will be hoping to find the same vigor and commitment Iwobi has shown all season at Goodison Park in Oran.

Iwobi would need the flexibility to go around like he does at Everton, which would be offered by his midfield partners, for him to genuinely shine for the Eagles.

He stands out as the team's most inventive player when he has the ball in his possession. Even though Sunday's game versus West Ham United wasn't the most thrilling matchup the Premier League has ever witnessed, let's use it as an example.

Iwobi had a lot more freedom to move around the field and into risky areas near the final third thanks to his midfield partnership with Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye. In that game at Goodison Park, he made 11 forward passes, surpassing West Ham's team average of 2.35 for a full 90 minutes.

Iwobi, who has the most assists at the club with three, has played every minute of Everton's seven Premier League games so far this season.

And of course, to drive the point home even more, he also provided assists on three of Everton's most recent four goals in all competitions. He not only exudes confidence when playing, but also when celebrating and speaking in interviews.

Iwobi is a man who exudes confidence now, and it has been repeatedly demonstrated that for the Nigerian international, confidence has always been half the battle. It remains to be seen what an assured Iwobi can accomplish for the Eagles against a Riyah Mahrez-led team that eliminated them in the 2019 African Cup of Nations semifinals.

Real life dragon’ found in Mongolia: Origins revealed - see video

A video purporting to be footage of a “real life dragon,” allegedly “caught” in the wild, has been doing the rounds on Twitter – and not for the first time. The present iteration of the viral video has picked up more than 160K likes on Twitter. Daily Loud shared it and encouraged their followers to “decide” if the supposed “dragon” is real or fake. On Reddit, people have already started joking that it’s the body of Arrax, Lucerys Velaryon’s late dragon from House Of The Dragon. Are ‘real life Mongolian dragons’…real No. Dragons – at least, dragons with long necks and long tails and wings – don’t exist in real life. But even with its unreality established, a question remains. It might not be a “real dragon,” but it is a real animal? Strange animals have washed up on beaches before, prompting confusion. One Reddit user suggested, perhaps sarcastically, that the video actually shows a “bear with mange.” They might not be serious, but they’re giving voice to a natural human instinct:...

In order to serve as a warning to others in the industry, the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) claimed it conducted a raid in Enugu and seized unlawful digital cable networks worth N250 million. The Real Summit Television studios, located in Nsukka, Enugu State, were sealed by the Commission on September 21. According to information acquired, the television channel reportedly stole the programming from other digital satellite transmitting stations like DSTV and Startimes. The manager, Mr. Daniel Anedo, had first been arrested by the Commission. The transmitter, decoders, inverters, and scramblers were among the devices and tools that were demobilized. In order to prevent the broadcast station from engaging in radio piracy, the Commission also turned off the transmitter and other devices. The Enugu State Director of N...

Nigerian pharmacists are leaving, says the chairman of the PSN - Feed9ja

The Osun state chapter of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) raised concern over the recent wave of pharmacists leaving the nation as they celebrated World Pharmacists Day with their counterparts around the world. Responding to inquiries from journalists in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, on Sunday, Professor Moses Akanmu, the state's PSN chairman, said that pharmacists from various professions today prefer to look for greener pastures abroad rather than practice in Nigeria. While bemoaning the recent surge in the production of phony pharmaceuticals, he revealed that the association would deworm 2,000 youngsters throughout the state's municipalities in honor of its 30th anniversary, which coincidentally happened to fall on the same day as Pharmacist Day internationally. "Many pharmacists are emigrating from the nation," he said. People are departing, including academic pharmacists, industrial pharmacists, hospital and administrative pharmacists, and commun...
