The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) 2022 batch of constables' recruitment portal will now remain closed for an additional month, according to the Police Service Commission (PSC).

Ikechukwu Ani, the PSC's Head of Press and Public Relations, made this revelation in a statement released on Sunday in Abuja.

He stated that the application period would be extended till October 26 in order to accommodate all interested candidates. The recruiting portal had been set to close on September 26.

Ani pleaded with eligible candidates who were unable to apply to use the extra time.

He promised that the panel would work to make sure that no applicants who were interested in a career in law enforcement were denied the chance.

The commission, according to Ani, wouldn't stray from its established practice of conducting a transparent and merit-based police recruitment exercise.
