With the opening of TRC in Port Harcourt, Inlaks increases the delivery of ATM services - Feed9ja

Technical resource centers TRCs are being expanded by ICT infrastructure and systems integrator Inlaks with the opening of a new one in Port Harcourt. The TRC launch is a component of Inlaks' attempts to increase the effectiveness of service delivery to clients in the distribution of ATMs and repair services for spare parts.

After facilities of a similar nature were established in Lagos, Enugu, Abuja, Kano, and Ibadan, this one is the organization's sixth TRC.

The facility will provide technical assistance to banking institutions in the Southeastern states of Rivers, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Edo, and Delta in order to increase the effectiveness of access to and rapid usage of its ATMs. Attending the TRC launch were officials from the 13 commercial banks that Inlaks engineers would be working with.

"Inlaks is happy to be launching a Technical Resource Center in Port Harcourt, a strategic market in the South-South part of the country," Executive Director, e-Business and Infrastructure, Tope Dare remarked during the event. This is consistent with our mission and goal of assisting clients with repairs and servicing. Since we are committed to fostering the expansion of the financial services industry, we have worked with our partners to guarantee that specifics from our ATMs, such as dispensing the most cash and having a lengthy working day, are accurately represented. In order to enhance our service, we will continue to provide value via technology and innovation.

Inlaks has a market share of 47% in distribution with around 22,000 ATMs across the nation, 2,080 of which are located in the South-South and South Eastern states.

Speaking at the ceremony as well, Mr. Afamefule Ezeani from Access Bank plc praised Inlaks for its services.

"We value Inlaks' excellent work in managing resources efficiently for the ATMs at our sites. The organization guarantees prompt resolution of any concerns that might surface at any time, along with support. We welcome the opening of this facility because it will make meeting our technological requirements more convenient.

The winner of an all-expense paid vacation to Dubai, courtesy of Inlaks, was Mrs. Edith Osuyah Edeh of Keystone Bank in a raffle arranged for bank representatives at the event.

Real life dragon’ found in Mongolia: Origins revealed - see video

A video purporting to be footage of a “real life dragon,” allegedly “caught” in the wild, has been doing the rounds on Twitter – and not for the first time. The present iteration of the viral video has picked up more than 160K likes on Twitter. Daily Loud shared it and encouraged their followers to “decide” if the supposed “dragon” is real or fake. On Reddit, people have already started joking that it’s the body of Arrax, Lucerys Velaryon’s late dragon from House Of The Dragon. Are ‘real life Mongolian dragons’…real No. Dragons – at least, dragons with long necks and long tails and wings – don’t exist in real life. But even with its unreality established, a question remains. It might not be a “real dragon,” but it is a real animal? Strange animals have washed up on beaches before, prompting confusion. One Reddit user suggested, perhaps sarcastically, that the video actually shows a “bear with mange.” They might not be serious, but they’re giving voice to a natural human instinct:...

In Enugu, NCC seizes an unlawful digital cable network worth N250 million. - Feed9ja

In order to serve as a warning to others in the industry, the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) claimed it conducted a raid in Enugu and seized unlawful digital cable networks worth N250 million. The Real Summit Television studios, located in Nsukka, Enugu State, were sealed by the Commission on September 21. According to information acquired, the television channel reportedly stole the programming from other digital satellite transmitting stations like DSTV and Startimes. The Commission demobilized the station at Ugwuoye, Nsukka by taking away the devices needed to collect signals for onward transmission before sealing the station there. The manager, Mr. Daniel Anedo, had first been arrested by the Commission. The transmitter, decoders, inverters, and scramblers were among the devices and tools that were demobilized. In order to prevent the broadcast station from engaging in radio piracy, the Commission also turned off the transmitter and other devices. The Enugu State Director of N...

Nigerian pharmacists are leaving, says the chairman of the PSN - Feed9ja

The Osun state chapter of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) raised concern over the recent wave of pharmacists leaving the nation as they celebrated World Pharmacists Day with their counterparts around the world. Responding to inquiries from journalists in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, on Sunday, Professor Moses Akanmu, the state's PSN chairman, said that pharmacists from various professions today prefer to look for greener pastures abroad rather than practice in Nigeria. While bemoaning the recent surge in the production of phony pharmaceuticals, he revealed that the association would deworm 2,000 youngsters throughout the state's municipalities in honor of its 30th anniversary, which coincidentally happened to fall on the same day as Pharmacist Day internationally. "Many pharmacists are emigrating from the nation," he said. People are departing, including academic pharmacists, industrial pharmacists, hospital and administrative pharmacists, and commun...
